About Our Staff


Mr. Sylvestre is a national ballroom dance competitor and an instructor who brings out the best in everyone -- from beginner to the most advanced. He brings cutting edge technique to the dance floor, the latest trends in steps and body movement and a continuous smile that's definitely contagious!

Mr. Sylvestre is originally from the Caribbean island of Haiti, where he owned the ballroom studio Salsa Plus. He brings an authentic Caribbean style to those hot Latin dances, especially salsa, mambo, cha-cha and rumba.

He's a terrific instructor, with 16 years experience in making students comfortable. “If you can walk, you can dance,” he always says, and he's been right every time.

Mr. Sylvestre won 4 times Fred Astaire Ohio Regional, and I was the Fred Astaire National Rising Star champion in Orlando , Fl. and Las Vegas , NV . He was also a finalist in lots of competitions across the country.


Andy Slimak's dance credits include tap, jazz, ballet, modern and now ballroom. Andy has been dancing since he was 14 years old and one day hopes to finish his Masters Degree in Theatre and Performing Arts at Cleveland State University , already having an Associates Degree in Fine Arts. Andy was the Pro American Style Closed Novice Champion of 2007 and runner up in both American Closed Style and American Closed Mixed Novice of 2008 along with being a certified Full Bronze/ Beginner Silver instructor. Andy's teachers, coaches and choreographers include Chrissy Prince, Sara Clare, Lester Currie, Bill Sparks and Anderson Sylvestre. “I love what I do and my students make it the most rewarding job in the world! I can only hope to continue to get better in order to make my students better” Take one lessons with Andy and you will feel the same way!


Cree has been dancing since she was three years old, and hasn’t been able to stop! Cree started at Sharon's School of Dance, then moved to Michelle's Dance Academy doing ballet, jazz, tap, acro, lyrical, hip hop, ect. She also retains 4 years of theater and stage performances. After 10 years, she finally found her passion at Fred Astaire Dance Studio, dancing ballroom. She has been dancing ballroom since she was fifteen years old and has been trained by some of the best. Cree has never received a score lower than a 93 in any National or local Competition and just recently won the award for ‘Best Young Adult’. “I hope to continue my training and pass my knowledge and passion for ballroom dance onto all my students.”
